ESPE Inspection
Webcode 0866 |
Due to the sensitive nature of electrosensitive protective equipment (ESPE), it is particularly important that light curtains are properly assembled, installed and inspected. Additionally in many jurisdictions there is a legal requirement for regular inspections of safety related equipment. Human behaviour must be taken into account when considering the safety of plant and machinery. Regular inspection is required to detect possible safety issues arising from machine modifications, bypassing of safety systems or changes to work procedures.
The inspection is intended to establish the operational safety of ESPE used to protect against mechanical hazards on production plants. Other safety-related devices such as safety gate locks and E-STOPs can also be included in the inspections. We will discuss any safety-relevant concerns with the customer and offer solutions based on best industry practise. Once the tests have been passed, the Pilz test seal is applied to the equipment and a test report is added to the documentation of the machinery.
